The Adelaide Oval, one of cricket's most picturesque Test venues, has since 2000 been a happy hunting ground for India, the memorable Test win over Australia in the 2003-04 series standing out. While the ground is a true oval - straight boundaries are long and those on the square are short - the wicket has traditionally been Australia's best batting pitch in Tests.
