A teacher accused of the sexual abuse and murder of an adopted baby has denied making up a story that the child drowned in the bath.
Jamie Varley, 37, said he left the child, who he named Elijah, in the bath for only a couple of minutes, but returned to find him submerged, a jury at Preston Crown Court heard.
