Live music, comedy, spoken word and poetry is coming to Swansea next month with the annual Fringe Festival kicking off on Thursday, November 3. The grassroots festival will bring five days of live music of all genres to the city and takes place from November 3-6 with a closing party on November 12.
It is a unique and popular event hosted across local venues in town and a wristband will grant you access to some of Wales' most exciting talent. You can get your tickets to Swansea Fringe Festival here!
The festival will launch in Founders & Co on November 3 with a line-up that includes Darren Eedens and the Slim Pickin’s, a Cardiff Honky Tonkin', bluegrass banjo and guitar player originally from Canada and soulful Welsh-Iranian singer Parisa Fouladi. Entry costs £5 on the day or free with a Fringe Weekend Ticket which costs £25. You can read more stories about Swansea here.

Over the weekend there will be a smorgasbord of music, comedy, art, spoken word, industry panels, a podcast talk shop and even fireworks! From pop to punk and hard rock to R&B, there is something for everyone and you can listen to the Fringe Festival's 2022 playlist here. It's a great place to find those artists that you wish you had heard of sooner and performances will be in both Welsh and English.
Fringe venues will include Swansea live music favourites like The Bunkhouse, Sin City, Elysium, The Jam Jar, Hangar 18, Crowleys and many more. Organisers are still looking for volunteers so if you want to gain experience in the music industry or learn how to run events, get in touch at info@swanseamusichub.com. There will be a closing party at The Garage Music Venue Swansea on Saturday, November 12 with a huge line up of acts and you can pay what you want on the door!
