Whittaker's clear 'need'
Morgan Whittaker admits his loan move to Plymouth Argyle was essential for his desire to play regularly.
The forward will spend the duration of the 2022/23 campaign with the Pilgrims having been deemed surplus to requirements when it comes to Russell Martin's immediate plans at Swansea. It comes after Whittaker enjoyed a productive loan stint with Lincoln City in the latter half of last season.
And the 21-year-old has boldly claimed he is targeting promotion with Plymouth. “As soon as I spoke to the manager, I knew. He was very clear in where he wants me to play, the role I will have this season," Whittaker told the Plymouth website.
"I think this season is vital for me, getting a good season under my belt. It’s something I’ve not had before, a full season of playing. I think Plymouth is the perfect place to do that.
“I want to help the team to get promoted or get in the play-offs. I think this team can do that, and I want to score goals and make assists. It’s quite clear what I need to do.
“I enjoyed my time at Lincoln, I just wish I could have had a full season doing that. It was the first time I’ve played a significant amount of games in a row. It’s helped me massively. Now I’ve had a taste of playing Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday, I can’t go back to not playing. I need to be out there playing.”
Ex-Swan's unexpected move
Luciano Narsingh has signed a one-year deal with Polish outfit Miedź Legnica.
The former Swansea winger was most recently with Sydney FC but was released by the Australian club earlier this year. He is now set to ply his trade in the Polish Ekstraklasa - the top tier of football in the country.
"We were looking for an experienced player with certain skills," said head coach Wojciech Łobodziński. "We had the opportunity to bring Luciano and we took advantage of it.
"We realise that we may have to wait a while until he reaches his highest level. But we believe that he will be a reinforcement for us. He is a dynamic winger and plays well one-on-one. He has a very good past and we would like him to refer to his game from the Dutch league to some extent."
Miedź Legnica hold the option to extend Narsingh's deal at the club by an additional 12 months.

Rodon's classy gesture
Joe Rodon is widely expected to depart Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The defender is keen to get regular game time elsewhere having been unable to force his way into Antonio Conte's first team plans at Spurs. However, despite his eagerness to play elsewhere ahead of the World Cup in Qatar, Rodon has continued to impress on the training ground to keep himself in peak condition.
The north London outfit have brought in a host of new faces this summer, including Djed Spence, Richarlison and Ivan Perisic. And our sister title Football London report that former Swan Rodon granted Perisic his wish by allowing the Croatia star to wear the number 14 jersey at Tottenham, the number Rodon previously used.
As part of the switch, Rodon has been handed the number 22 shirt, the same figure he had on the back of his jersey with the Swans. The centre-back still has three years left to run on his deal with Spurs.
Rodon made 54 first team appearances for Swansea before joining Tottenham for an initial fee of £11m in 2020. He has amassed 28 caps for Wales since making his international debut three years ago.
