A flock of swans brought two Wishaw roads to a standstill on Wednesday.
Drivers had to wait as the family, the cob, pen and their five cygnets, decided to take their time crossing North Dryburgh Road and Coltness Road.
Ellen Sweeney, who lives nearby, spotted the birds and tried unsuccessfully to move them on. The birds failure to move worried Ellen, who then decided to call the police who in turn called the Scottish SPCA.
