Shaun Banner's family say 'gap left in hearts' as police confirm body found is missing dad
Police have confirmed DNA from a body found on a Scots shoreline matched that of young dad Shaun Banner who has been missing for two months. The 34-year-old's family say a "gap has been left in all of their hearts" following the confirmation of his death.
In an emotional tribute, Shaun's brother Alan wrote: "Shaun had the biggest personality, the most infectious laugh and the wickedest sense of humour. He was so loved and had an army of people who cared about him".
Earlier this week, officers told his devastated loved ones that the body found on Shore Road West, in Invergordon, on June 14 was confirmed to be Shaun. Speaking after the news, his family said: "As most of you know, 10 weeks ago we started our search for Shaun.

Rangers legend Andy Goram died with two of his former teammates and family by his side. John 'Bomber' Brown told how he and Ally McCoist were in tears as they said a final farewell to their much-loved pal.
Goram, 58, had bravely fought oesophageal cancer but moved to St Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie last month after being told in April
he had only six months to live.
An emotional Brown told the Sunday Mail: “He was a one-off, a great guy and we loved him. I like to think he’d be up there in heaven now pestering Walter Smith and Jimmy Bell.”

Seven arrested after Orange Walk marchers descend on Glasgow streets
Seven people have been arrested after Orange Walk marchers paraded through the streets of Glasgow.
The event marks the anniversary of the 1690 Battle of the Boyne and it's estimated 7,500 marchers in total took part on Saturday, July 3. Officers in Scotland's biggest city have confirmed seven were arrested during the processions, while 12 fixed noticed penalty notices were issued.
Cops say the offences were primarily for breach of the peace and anti-social behaviour. They went on to thank the "vast majority" of participants who "behaved responsibly throughout".
Evil teenager showed 'hallmarks of a psychopath' in police interview days after killing Logan Mwangi
A body language expert has revealed teen killer Craig Mulligan showed the "hallmarks of a psychopath" in his interview with police.
When Mulligan was just 13 he killed Logan Mwangi, five, along with his stepdad John Cole, 40, and Logan's mum Angharad Williamson, 31. On Thursday his identity came to light when after he was sentenced to life detention with a minimum of 15 years.
The sentencing meant an anonymity order banning the press from naming him was finally lifted, reports the Daily Star. Video footage, which was shared with South Wales Police, showed Mulligan being questioned by detectives over CCTV showing him and Cole carrying Logan's body out of the family home.
Leading psychotherapist Nick Davies said that Mulligan's movements in the interview clip indicate he was "hiding a part of himself".
He said: "[Mulligan] has the hallmarks of a psychopath by not showing any guilt or remorse and trying to play the innocent victim.
