Ellie Simmonds left her Strictly Come Dancing pro partner Nkita Kuzmin 'broken' with a heart-wrenching question she asked him at the end of their performance on the BBC show on Saturday.
Shockwaves were sent around the Strictly ballroom and on social media when Ellie and Nikita were voted out of the competition at the weekend, having never even been in the bottom two before. They were all smiles during Saturday's live show when they received their highest score of the series - 33 out of 40 for their Charleston to jazz classic Too Darn Hot. However, those smiles turned to heartache just a few hours later when, after the public vote, Ellie and Nikita found themselves in the dance-off and were then eliminated over rivals Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu.
Emotions ran high in the studio as the couple learned their fate, with Ellie reduced to tears as Nikita heaped praise on her. And a devastated Nikita then poured his heart out on Instagram, in a post he said he 'wasn't expecting to write so early,' as fellow Strictly pros and contestants rushed to support him.

Ellie and Nikita gave their first TV exit since their exit on Strictly: It Takes Two on Monday night, when they were interviewed by host Rylan Clark. And it was during their chat with the former X Factor star that Nikita revealed that something Ellie asked him on Saturday night really got to him.
After Rylan brought up Ellie asking 'was that OK?' at the end of their dance, Nikita commented: "It's a little bit difficult to talk about but yeah, I remember when I heard she said 'was it OK?' it just...my heart melted."
He again: "We came out there, we really wanted to push so hard, we wanted to prove everybody wrong," before, looking at Ellie and saying: "You succeeded in that."
