Strictly Come Dancing's Ellie Taylor couldn't hide her upset as she found herself floundering at the very bottom of the leaderboard following a disappointing night at the Blackpool Tower ballroom.
The comedian and her partner Johannes Radebe threw everything at their American Smooth - from feathers, additional dancers and even a flying sequence - but even the extra glitz and glamour did little to impress the the four judges who delivered a harsh verdict and the worst scores of the night.
For Ellie, the writing of Sunday night's result show appeared to be already on the wall, as she noticeably failed to join her co-stars in the end of show excitement.
Ellie was seen lurking in the background as she watched the frivolity unfold before her as if already distancing herself from the group.
With the competition now racing towards the final, the pressure is ramping up for the remaining couples who are desperate to keep dancing.
As Ellie risks a spot in the dreaded dance off, body language expert Judi James lifts the lid on her true feelings during a dramatic night in Blackpool - and the sweet ways her partner Johannes tried to reassure her.
Judi says: "It was difficult to watch poor Ellie tonight as she deflated like a lilo on the Blackpool beach after her jittery American Smooth.
"Ellie was sending out body language signals that were only congruent when she was being apologetic to Johannes, who she appeared to feel she had totally let down.
"Instead of gazing adoringly at Johannes she could barely meet him with her eye gaze and in the end he had to reprimand her, holding a corrective index finger aloft as he insisted ‘I am proud of you!’ And kissed her on the head like a caring parent.
"Ellie couldn’t even keep up the guise of pretending everything was fine. She told Claudia the dance was 'lovely’ but she also shook her head from side to side in an incongruent gesture that looked heavily contradictory.
"They were bottom of the leader board and Ellie’s body language suggested pessimism over whether she could run on the fumes of her awesome popularity this time to avoid being in the bottom two.
"Even the routine itself seemed to work against her as it ended with Johannes pirouetting with the guys as she sat alone behind them, struggling into her safety belt before being winched up in the air for no apparent reason.
"At the end of the show Ellie and Johannes made a rather sad sight, standing in the background watching rather than joining in all the manic party moves the other dancers were performing.
"Normally Ellie can’t stop smiling but tonight she couldn’t start and when she did smile it was a forced rictus that had nothing to do with genuine joy."
