Storm Eunice: Tree falls on busy Arnold road as high winds hit Nottinghamshire

A tree which has blown down due to high dangerous winds has blocked a road in Nottinghamshire.

The tree came done in Calverton Road, Arnold, just after 1pm and has led to public transport services avoiding the area.

An image posted online urged people to avoid the road.

Buses are now using the Coppice Road and Beechwood Road in both directions.

An amber warning remains in place for most of England - including Nottinghamshire - as Storm Eunice arrives on our shores from Friday morning.

National Highways sent a message to motorists, urging people to only drive if it is essential.

The warnings are in place all day Friday until 9pm.
