Stephen Graham shares tribute to 'lil sis' Jodie Comer as he celebrates success

Stephen Graham has shared a touching tribute to his "lil sis" Jodie Comer as he celebrated their success.

Stephen and Jodie starred alongside each other in the Channel 4 drama Help, which has now been nominated for an International Emme Award. Based in fictional Liverpool care home, Help tells the story of the relationship between a shy care home worker Sarah and Tony, a patient suffering with Young Onset Dementia, during the outset of the coronavirus pandemic.

The drama has received rave reviews since it first aired on Channel 4 back in September last year, and Stephen said he was "so proud" of the team following International Emme Award nomination.

Taking to twitter on Saturday, Stephen wrote: "So proud, that this drama keeps getting the recognition it deserves. Blessed to of been part of an incredible team. @Channel4 @jackthorne @marcmunden #Jodiecomerlilsis."

The drama was the first time the two Scouse superstars have appeared on screen together since 2012's Good Cop.

In a previous interview with the ECHO, Kirkby-born Stephen said Jodie is "a joy" and that he loved working with her.

Stephen said: "I feel like we work in very similar ways. We had a lovely time, there were giggles when there shouldn't have been giggles, as is often the case on set.

"Jodie is rapidly going to become one of the finest actors we've ever had.

"She's just a joy to work with, we just sat and played and it was gorgeous."
