Stellantis has pushed the Jeep Grand Wagoneer EREV back to a November production start at the Warren Truck Plant near Detroit, roughly six months later than the May target the company had set earlier this year.
The Ram 1500 REV slips even further, to mid-April 2027, a delay of about nine months from its original mid-2026 window. Recent reporting links both changes to updated supplier schedules, not to any formal public announcement from the company.
Jeep Grand Wagoneer EREV production timing
The 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer extended-range hybrid was supposed to roll off the line in May. Instead, supplier memos cited by Automotive News now point to November at Warren Truck.
Stellantis is not calling it a delay in its own messaging. Spokespeople insist the SUV is still headed for a 2026 launch, just later in the year than buyers were originally told to expect.
Supplier sources point to the shared powertrain as the sticking point, not the SUV itself. Two executives told Automotive News the extra months are meant to smooth the rollout of a 400-volt battery and electric motor combination used across both extended-range programs.
That shared hardware is also what ties the Grand Wagoneer’s fortunes to the Ram truck. A fix or a snag on one program tends to ripple into the other’s calendar too, especially with both leaning on the same series-hybrid layout.
Ram 1500 REV launch date shifts
The Ram lineup’s launch plans take a bigger hit here. Production of the 1500 REV now targets mid-April 2027, a shift from the late-2026 window Ram’s own consumer-facing site had listed as recently as this month.
Ram originally unveiled the 1500 REV badge on a planned all-electric pickup, then dropped that battery-electric truck and reassigned the name to a range-extended model. The current REV is the extended-range electric pickup that shares its hardware with the Grand Wagoneer EREV.
For buyers, the new timing pushes Ram’s extended-range truck behind rival electric and range-extended pickups already on sale or due sooner, even as Stellantis leans more heavily on this EREV strategy after canceling the original all-electric Ram 1500 REV.
