Steelers WR George Pickens tries to clarify his social media strangeness

On Wednesday, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens addressed the media for the first time since his troubling behavior on the field during and after the team’s win over the Tennessee Titans as well as his scrubbing of his social media of anything Steelers-related.

And let’s just say, nothing Pickens said dissuaded anyone to believing he was being anything but a pouty, petulant child who wasn’t getting his way.

Pickens said that he keeps football and social media completely separate. This is why he claimed the media had it all wrong about him. Even though his social media was littered with Steelers connections. However, Pickens said that was his excuse for scorched earth on his social media.

If this were true, he wouldn’t have reinstated it all just a day or so later. No, Pickens was mad, threw a little fit on social media and then someone reached out to him and said to pull himself together and get back to work so he did.
