After being waived by the Tennessee Titans in recent days, it didn’t take long for outside linebacker Ola Adeniyi to reportedly latch on with another team, and it’s one he’s quite familiar with.
According ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who cites Adeniyi’s agents, the veteran outside linebacker is signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team Adeniyi spent the first three seasons of his career with.
It isn’t clear if he’ll sign on to Pittsburgh’s practice squad or 53-man roster, though.
Adeniyi departed Pittsburgh in 2021 when he signed with the Titans in free agency, a team he also spent the majority of the 2022 campaign with.
The Toledo product served as a backup edge rusher and special teams ace for the Titans over a season-plus, tallying 2.5 sacks, all of which came in 2021.
However, his 2022 campaign has been riddled with injury, and Adeniyi was unable to replicate his early success in the pass-rush, as he hasn’t notched a sack since Week 3 of last season.
