State-owned enterprises have disbursed 172 billion baht in investment spending this fiscal year, representing nearly 70% of the annual target.
According to Tibordee Wattanakul, director-general of the State Enterprise Policy Office (Sepo), the disbursement rate for major investment projects involving the country's transport infrastructure has been relatively high.
Sepo, as the principal agency responsible for overseeing and monitoring the investment budget disbursement of 43 state enterprises, recognises their role in stimulating economic activity and strengthening confidence in the economy through investment spending, he said.
