Stacey Solomon has confessed to feeling like a “failure” as mum to her five children.
The presenter, 33, welcomed her daughter Belle with husband Joe Swash last month, expanding their brood to five, which Solomon admitted has been a “struggle” to adjust to in a new Instagram post.
Solomon got candid with fans about parenthood as she shared a series of photos of herself with her young children and her newborn daughter on Monday.
Starting off her post positively, Solomon wrote: “Proud. Feeling like I smashed it today. Don’t mind if I sound big headed but I felt like a superhuman today.”
The mum-of-five then got honest with followers, saying: “For some reason lately I’ve found it easy to tell myself that I’m failing or doing a rubbish job and I never tell myself how well I’m doing.
“Three three-and-under and two teenagers is wonderful but it’s not easy.”
Solomon continued to speak on how it’s been like for her juggling her time with her kids.
She said: “Joe did a night feed for me last night and then went to work. So we did the school runs and then afterwards I managed to make it for the first time EVER to Rhyme time at the library with Rex, Rose and Belle.
“Spent some time with other mums and [it] felt so nice to see Rex and Belle enjoying being out of the house.”
Solomon added: “Now we are home and I’m ready to collapse on the sofa and start the cluster feeds. Sorry for the essay. but basically, just a little reminder that you’re doing amazing, even when you feel like you’re not. You’re so incredible – don’t forget to tell yourself that sometimes.”
The Loose Women star also shares son Rex, three, daughter Rose, one, with Swash 41, and has two older sons Zachary, 14, and Leighton, 10, from previous relationships.
Fans praised and supported Solomon following her honest post in the comment section.
“You are a prime example of a super mum, super woman with a super big heart,” one follower wrote.
“That’s why you’re loved by the nation and all of us on the team. You’re a real hard working woman. You go through the tough times and try and keep that smile on your face while caring and putting everyone else first. Keep being the authentic you. It’s why we love you.”
A second said: “It’s becoming easier to put yourself down rather then big yourself [up] nowadays, but looking at this picture we can all say you are smashing it.”
