St Mirren 'set deadline' for Glentoran as Conor McMenamin deal still unresolved

Conor McMenamin's protracted move to St Mirren could be set to be resolved one way or another with the Paisley club said to have set a deadline for any deal to be done.

Reports coming out of Scotland on Friday suggested the Buddies had made a final take-it-or-leave-it bid for the Northern Ireland international that could eventually hit £200,000.

The Daily Record reports Scottish Premiership side have yet to have a response to their bid, but have given the Glens another 24 hours before walking away unless progress is made.

Stephen Robinson has made the 27-year-old winger a top target but has other options lined up and is ready to push on with them unless he is given some encouragement.

McMenamin is said to be keen to make the switch to Paisley and has had talks with Glens owner Ali Pour.

Irish Premiership champions Larne reportedly made a bid in excess of £100,000 to land McMenamin, but Glentoran would prefer to sell to a club outside of the Irish League.
