A spring programme of events on offer at St James' Park in Newcastle promises to be a real family affair with all ages being catered for, with treats including an Easter party for children and a Father's Day lunch set to appeal for football fanatic dads.
Aside from its on-pitch action, the home of Newcastle United is expanding its social side with a focus upon special occasions which offer a chance for people to enjoy a meal inside the famous stadium which they might not otherwise have a chance to visit. Coming up this Sunday will be a Mother's Day lunch, to be followed by one for Father's Day on June 18 and in between there will be Easter events for children.
A Kids' Easter Party will take place in the run-up to the big day, from 4pm-6pm on April 6, with lots of games, egg-painting and a surprise visit from Peter Rabbit, as well as a buffet, for £15.50. Then on Easter Sunday itself, April 9, a Peter Rabbit Film Experience will include more of the giant bunny in the blue jacket.

Guaranteed to appeal to young ones, it will start at 10am with a meet-and-greet with Peter Rabbit. Children can have a selfie taken with him. and then there will be an Easter treat for them to eat during a showing of the popular Peter Rabbit film on a big screen.
The cost is £15.50, which also admits one adult with each child's ticket. There will be additional snacks available to buy during the children's Easter activities.
Another option on Easter Sunday will be lunch and on the stadium's lunch menu are the likes of ham hock terrine and smoked salmon for starters; Northumbrian rib-eye of beef or topside; chicken supreme and hake for main and sticky toffee pudding and raspberry and chocolate roulade for dessert. Vegetarian options include sun-blushed tomato and mozzarella salad and wild mushroom aranchini.
Recently, the football ground took part in NE1 Restaurant Week for the first time, offering a tasting menu served in its Park Grill dining room overlooking the pitch and it proved a huge success. It then followed up with a six-course tasting menu for Valentine's Day, all designed to showcase the range of fine dining cuisine which the St James' Park chefs can offer.
Tickets are available for all the upcoming events although there is limited availability for the Mother's Day lunch sittings between noon and 3pm this Sunday, March 19. For the full menu being served on Mother's Day, Father's Day and Easter Sunday see here.
The option is two courses for £23.50 (£11/75 for a child aged 12 and under) or three courses for £28 (£14 for a child). To book a meal or either of the Easter dates, email events@nufc.co.uk or call 0191 201 8525.
