SRAM has refreshed their mountain bike brake range Code and Level ranges, simplifying the options and featuring a new slimline Stealth lever.
The new Code and Level ranges have been simplified into two categories, Ultimate which will signify the best mountain bike brakes, and Silver (SLV) which has the same performance features but with a "no-frills" approach.
While the enduro-focused Codes come in two flavors, the cross-country Levels will be available in lightweight two-pot (two brake pistons) or trail-friendly four-pot variations in both Ultimate and Silver versions.
Stealth lever
The new Stealth lever brings the hose and reservoir closer to the bar and SRAM says the new versions will are designed to aesthetically complement the new T-Type transmission cockpits also announced today
The Ultimate levers feature carbon and titanium components for lower weight and increased performance. All Code Stealth levers get SwingLink (SRAM's progressive lever pull), reach and contact point adjustment while the Levels only have reach adjustment to save weight.
The new levers are ambidextrous and are compatible with existing Stealth-a-Majig hose barb, olive and compression fittings, and SRAM hydraulic brake hoses. All existing MatchMaker X handlebar clamp products will also be compatible with the new levers.
