The son of imprisoned leader Aung San Suu Kyi has launched a fresh bid for his mother’s freedom, saying his fight to see her released will “never cease”.

The 78-year-old has been sentenced to 27 years by the military junta in Myanmar over alleged corruption charges and was recently denied urgent medical attention which left her struggling to eat.
