The Easter bank holiday weekend is almost here - and it will bring some changes to social welfare dates.
An Post will see adjusted business hours over the coming days, and some social welfare recipients can expect to receive their payments earlier than expected.
The Department of Social Protection has confirmed that post offices around the country will be open until 1pm on Good Friday, 7 April. They will be closed on Saturday 8 April and Easter Monday 10 April 2023.

Post offices will reopen as normal on Tuesday, April 11. Due to the changes to post office opening hours, there will be changes to social welfare dates over the coming days.
Most social welfare payments that are due to be paid on Friday 7 April or Monday 10 April, will be paid on Thursday 6 April instead. The payment dates for all social welfare payments will return to normal from Tuesday 11 April 2023.
