Sky launches half-price broadband deal

Sky has launched a broadband deal that could see users bag the service for as little as £17 a month. The offer sees the service available for half-price for the rest of the year.

Customers can choose between a couple of options, including standard speed or much quicker full-fibre. For those not needing super-quick speeds, the basic Superfast service is on sale at £17 per month and still gives speeds of up to 61Mbps, reports the Mirror.

That plan will let users download a full HD movie in around nine minutes or a blockbuster PS5 game in two hours. For those who have full-fibre access in their street, there is also Sky's Ultrafast Plus option for half price as well.

This plan offers a huge 500Mbps, which means the same HD film will arrive on tellies in under two minutes. Those signing up will find they pay just £24 per month for the rest of 2023.

Of course, the only thing to be aware of is that these deals only last for six months before the price rises to the standard fee. That means from January 2024 you'll pay £34.50 for Superfast access and £48 for the Ultrafast Plus option. There's no upfront fee to pay but you will need to sign an 18-month contract.
