It's rare for me to see a price tag from an established motorcycle manufacturer and think, "Hey, that's a deal." In fact, the reality is usually closer to the opposite of that scenario. But Suzuki is making a play to finally put some genuine deals on the table or, at least, stop folks from frowning at every price tag they see on dealership floors.
According to Suzuki, "In response to evolving market conditions and dealer feedback", the brand has implemented strategic price adjustments on select 2027 motorcycle models. Or, in non-corporate speak, Suzuki is dropping the prices of a host of its most popular models.
The DR-Z range is getting arguably the best discount of the bunch. For 2027, the DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM get an MSRP of $7,999, which is $1,000 less than their 2026 price tags. The DR-ZS+ will ring in at $8,299, which is also a $1,000 price reduction. Overall, the DR-Z range will get around an 11% price reduction. When you consider that the likes of Honda's CRF300L (non-ABS) costs $5,449 and the KTM 390 SMC R is just $6,049, the DR-Z range arguably needed to lower its price tag more than any of the rest of Suzuki's models.
The GSX-8S and GSX-8R both receive $500 reductions for 2027, meaning they get MSRPs of $8,749 and $9,199 respectively. Although this is only around a 5% reduction compared to their 2026 retail prices, these models are now more directly competing on price with rivals like Yamaha's MT-07 and Triumph's Daytona 660.
Finally, the GSX-S1000 is also getting a price reduction for 2027, and monetarily, it's the best out of the bunch. If you bought a GSX-S1000 this year, it would've set you back $11,989, but that same model carries a price tag of $10,798 next year, meaning buyers would save $1,191 if they held out for a 2027 unit. That's a saving of around 10%, which makes the DR-Z an arguably better deal, but there's no denying that the GSX-S1000 is substantially more motorcycle, especially considering it costs less than $10,800. Better yet, the GSX-S1000 is now much more in the mix with the supernaked of 2026, the Honda CB1000 SP, which has an MSRP of $10,999.
