Mexico national team striker Raúl Jiménez will undergo knee surgery on Friday that will keep him sidelined for the rest of the year.

The veteran striker has been out of action since mid-September with an MCL injury he hoped to overcome with conservative treatment. On Wednesday, Wolverhampton Wanderers released a lengthy statement, confirming the worst possible outcome for Jiménez.
