Six injured after ‘serious incident’ at Christian festival in West Sussex

Friday's entertainment at the Big Church Festival in West Sussex was cancelled following a ‘serious incident’ involving a fallen sign.
South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed at least six people required medical treatment at Wiston Park near Steyning.
Organisers ordered all day visitors to leave the site immediately, while campers were advised to return to their campsites.
Emergency services , including Sussex Police and critical care paramedics, were called to the venue shortly after 3.30pm on Friday.
The incident coincided with windy weather across the region, with wind speeds reaching up to 27mph recorded nearby.
