Sir Elton John has shared a throwback picture of himself from a Los Angeles show in 1975 ahead of his final ever North American tour shows. The musical megastar will perform at the Dodgers baseball stadium for three final dates this week, telling Thursday’s audience members “don’t be late”.
It will be his first time returning to the venue in almost five decades, having last performed there in 1975. The picture showed Sir Elton poised over his piano wearing a bejewelled Dodgers team kit, in front of the packed out stadium.
The singer has been performing at multiple venues around the US and Canada as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour. “The start of my final North American tour shows and the first time back at Dodger Stadium since 1975. See you at 8pm, LA – don’t be late!” he wrote on Instagram.
