Sir Alex Ferguson taken to hospital after falling ill ahead of Man United vs Liverpool

Sir Alex Ferguson was taken to hospital after feeling unwell at Old Trafford ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League match with Liverpool.

The 84-year-old, who led United to 38 trophies across nearly three decades at the club as manager, was taken into medical care ahead of kick off having been due to watch the game. Ferguson is a regular attendee of his former club’s home and away games.
