Music star Sinitta has been left upset and angry by Celebs Go Dating as she slammed the show for their portrayal of her comments about ex boyfriend Simon Cowell.
Sinitta fumed that her confession of love for the X Factor supremo have been taken completely out of context.
The 80s star slammed the show for "disgraceful editing" after the E4 programme included a clip that appeared to say Sinitta was still in love with Cowell. The pair dated in the 80s when Sinitta was signed to Cowell's record label.
Cowell is currently planning his wedding to longterm partner Lauren Silverman, with who he shares eight year old son Eric.
An outraged Sinitta has taken to Twitter to rant about the E4 series she is currently still starring in.
Speaking on her Twitter to her 132,000 followers, Sinitta wrote: "Disgraceful editing!
"To say I was still 'in love' with @SimonCowell was a huge disservice to me and my endeavours.
"Why did you do this? Love and 'in Love' are very different @CelebsGoDating @awilliamsonTV @PaulCBrunson #iTrustedYou."
Sinitta and Cowell dated in the 80s, with Sinitta revealing that she "wanted to be with him" even into the early 2010s and had "genuinely thought they were working things out".
She has also admitted in previous interviews that she accepted the relationship was "unrequited love".
Sinitta has joined a host of other celebs looking for love on the latest E4 series including Pete Wicks, Gary Lucy and Laura Anderson.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: "Simon was surprised I was doing Celebs Go Dating.
"He said 'well, anyone they fix you up with I’ll have to vet them.'
"Simon’s got that protective big brother thing which was very sweet.
"I would like anyone i’m with to get on with Simon because obviously he’s one of my closest best friends.
"We want to hang out and we’re godparents to each other’s children. It would definitely be nice if they got on, but we’ll have to wait and see."
