Simon Cowell has defiantly broken the rules on Britain's Got Talent, days after the show descended into chaos thanks to his colleague Bruno Tonioli.
Before the new series of the ITV show had even started, its hosts Ant and Dec confirmed that they had been stirring up mischief behind the scenes, by telling new judge Bruno that he could hit his Golden Buzzer as many times as he wanted to. The former Strictly panellist wasted no time in doing just that, with viewers seeing him put an act straight through to the live rounds during the first episode of BGT's run.
After Simon, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Ant and Dec themselves picked their Golden Buzzer acts for 2023, Bruno hit the button again at the weekend, to send singer Gamal John through to the forthcoming semi finals.

After joking they were all 'about to get fired,' Simon made Gamal's day by, confirming that, despite Bruno's blatant flouting of Britain's Got Talent rules, he would advance through to the next round.
And, clearly influenced by Bruno's actions, Simon is seen hitting the Golden Buzzer for a second time in a preview for this Saturday's episode. While the identity of the act he rips up the rule book for is being kept under wraps, in the clip shared on BGT's official Twitter, he playfully quips: "Sometimes, I feel you should just break the rules ," before leaning over the desk to hit the buzzer,
Reacting to the video and clearly stumped by just how things are playing out on the show this year, one fan replied: "Soo what's the actual rules with the Golden Buzzer?? Do they all have two Golden Buzzers now? This is all so god damn confusing now!!" A second sarcastically responded: "how about you just forget the rules all together and have 3 winners this year?"
