Simon Cowell bandaged up with cast signed by son Eric after brutal bike smash

Simon Cowell was spotted leaving his home all bandaged up after brutal bike smash. - with his cast sweetly signed by son Eric.

The 62-year-old was rushed to hospital after the horror crash near his home in west London last Thursday, when he was sent flying over the handlebars of his e-bike during the accident.

The former X Factor judge narrowly avoided serious injury in the smash, as the TV and music mogul wasn’t wearing a helmet.

Simon suffered a suspected concussion and facial cuts - as well as a broken arm - after he crashed his Das Spitzing Evolution S-Pedelec bike - worth more than £7,900 - into the road at 20mph.

According to eyewitnesses, his face was covered in blood, and passers-by stopped to help the Britain’s Got Talent creator and judge following the accident, which happened when his bike slipped on a wet patch in the middle of the road.

On Wednesday, less than a week after the scary fall, Simon was spotted heading out with his fiancée Lauren Silverman, sporting a bright green arm cast that was signed and decorated by the couple’s seven-year-old son Eric.

The youngster had signed his name in black ink, as well as drawing pictures of the family’s two dogs, Squiddly and Diddly.

He seemed in good spirits as he and Lauren smiled for the waiting cameras, with the TV star wrapped up warm in a black puffer jacket, black turtleneck, and black trousers, teamed with a pair of walking boots.

Lauren looked chic in a pair of stonewash jeans, beige t-shirt and a green suede and teddy bear fleece biker jacket slung around her shoulders.

It’s been reported Simon is ready to give up cycling following the accident last week, which occurred after he finished filming the auditions for Britain's Got Talent, alongside fellow judges David Walliams, Amanda Holden, and Alesha Dixon.

He had a similar fall in Malibu in 2020, which left him with a broken back.

Simon said he was almost paralysed in the crash, but he told Extra last year that he would have “gone through the whole thing again” as he believes it’s made him stronger and fitter.

“Honestly, if I could rewind, I would have gone through the whole thing again. Just because I feel better now. Even though it hurt like hell at the time,” he quipped.
