Siddhanth Kapoor catches flight out of Bengaluru after getting bail in drugs consumption case; shares selfie on-board plane

A day after getting bail, Siddhanth Kapoor appears to be on his way back home to Mumbai. The actor and DJ posed for a selfie on board a flight, hinting that he will be headed home soon.

Kapoor, who was released on bail on Tuesday, after being arrested on charges of alleged drug consumption under the NDPS Act, was called to the Bengaluru Ulsoor police station for further details. The police called for the Bollywood actor to obtain further details on the party held at a city hotspot on Friday night.

After participating in a day-long interrogation, Siddhanth gave his official statement to the media. He said, "I was at the hotel and there was an investigation going on. I have been cooperating. The Bengaluru police have been really good, they are doing a great job. They should continue what they are doing to save many lives."

Siddhanth's lawyer Praveen Muguli also gave his statement to the media. He said, "The alleged offences are bailable in nature. Yesterday he (Siddhanth) was released on bail. Today he came for statement. The police have recorded the statement. He will cooperate and he will come for investigation purposes. Anytime he's asked to come, he will corporate with the police."

The police have seized the mobile phones of Siddhanth Kapoor and four other accused who were arrested along with him and sent them for data retrieval.

The police are also looking into the drug peddling angle. The luxury hotel owner and the organisers of the rave party have been sent notices. The event management company representatives are also being called for questioning.

According to the police, medical tests confirmed the consumption of cocaine by Siddhanth Kapoor and the other accused persons.
