Shamima Begum’s school and police ‘missed opportunities’, court told

Shamima Begum’s school and the police both “missed opportunities” before the then-schoolgirl travelled to Syria and aligned with the so-called Islamic State (IS), a court has heard.

Ms Begum was 15 when she and two other east London schoolgirls travelled to Syria to join IS in February 2015.
