Emergency services are currently in attendance after a serious crash closed a busy road in Fife. Police Scotland officers were called to the scene on the A914 at Pickletillum shortly before 4pm on Monday, September 26.
The road has been shut at St Michaels, with motorists being urged to seek alternative routes. It is not currently known whether anyone has been seriously injured or how many vehicles are involved.
A picture from the scene shows at least two ambulances in attendance alongside a car that appears to have left the road.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “Officers are currently in attendance at the A914 at Pickletillum dealing with a serious crash. The road is closed at St Michaels. Motorists are asked to seek alternative routes.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 15:43 to attend a road traffic collision (RTC) on the A914 at Pickletillum, near St Michaels. Three ambulances and one of our special operations response teams (SORT) were dispatched to the scene.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added "We were called at 3.52pm on Monday, 26 September to assist emergency service partners at an incident at Pickletillum in Fife.
"Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene, where crews remain in attendance."
