Serial killer Levi Bellfield 'wants Harry Styles song played at his prison wedding'

Murderer Levi Bellfield reportedly wants to have one of former One Direction star Harry Style's top tracks played at his wedding, which was recently given the green light.

The serial killer, 55, was said to be over the moon after he won a human rights battle last week, which will allow him the marry his partner.

Bellfield, a sex offender and rapist, was jailed for killing Marsha McDonnell, Amélie Delagrange, Milly Dowler, and the attempted murder of Kate Sheedy.

But now, the murderer has started to prepare for his "big day" after plans for him to marry one of his former prison visitors were approved.

Serial killer Bellfield is a fan of the former One Direction star (PA)

He received a letter telling him he could have his marriage wish, as well as the day off work at Frankland jail's recycling centre in County Durham, the Sun reports.

He wanted the hit Watermelon Sugar by Harry Styles to be played, it said.

A source said: “Other cons all took the mickey out of him when he bought the Harry Styles album with the song on it — and now he’s telling everyone it’s his and his fiancée’s song.

“It makes you sick.”

His bride-to-be, a jail visitor in her 40s, plans to wear a white dress and Bellfield a Versace suit.

The pair would each be allowed three or four guests, subject to security vetting, and his new wife can have two hours with him after the ceremony.

But they would be watched by guards all the time — and UK prisoners do not have conjugal rights.

The Ministry of Justice conceded there was no legal route to block the marriage after Bellfield’s lawyers threatened a judicial review.

But they said whole-life tariff convicts like Bellfield will be barred from marrying in future, adding: “We recognise the pain and anger this outcome will bring to his victims’ families.”
