Persona fans are potentially in for a treat this year. According to DKmariolink on XCancel (via Reddit), SEGA has quietly and quickly issued DMCA takedowns of Persona artwork on X, which seems to confirm the existence of Persona 6, the long-awaited sequel to 2016's Persona 5.
The "leaked" artwork in question is of a green logo with the word "P6" and a character who looks like a young teenage boy with an earpiece mic, who is likely the protagonist.
Now, as with every rumor that's been neither confirmed nor denied by the developers/publishers, this "Leaked" art should be taken with a grain of salt, as this could be fake news played up for clicks.
On the other hand, there is a very small chance that this artwork could be real and that we might actually, finally see Persona 6 sometime this year or even at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase on June 7, 2026, or Summer Game Fest on June 5, 2026.
Atlus has to have something planned for the biggest gaming event of the year because a few months ago it announced Persona 4 Revival, a next-gen remake of the beloved Persona 4.
Atlus brought back Persona 5 Royal to Xbox Game Pass just days before Summer Game Fest, and this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Persona franchise, which would be the perfect time to announce a new mainline title.
Either way, we'll have to wait and see what Atlus has up its sleeve over the weekend for Persona. Whatever the next main game is, it's going to have to pull out all the stops if it wants to top Persona 5 Royal, since it's one of my favorite Xbox JRPGs.
