"Season two of fan favourite Shadow and Bone was slightly disappointing"

The Netflix series Shadow and Bone, inspired by the books written by Leigh Bardugo, recently returned with a second jam-packed season of action and drama. But if you haven’t watched it yet you may want to stop reading now as there will definitely be a spoiler or two.

The new series was released on the streaming service three weeks ago, on March 16th and has yet to drop out of the Top 10 list. The show continues to follow the Sun Summoner, Alina Star Starkov, as she sets about on her quest to find the remaining two amplifiers in her bid to bring down The Fold forever.

At the end of the first season, which aired around two years ago, we saw General Kirigan attempt to use Alina’s powers for his own master plan before she managed to escape his grasp. While the heart of the story follows Alina Starkov and the journey to bring down The Fold, other characters, all from Leigh Bardugo’s books, are also involved in the plot.
