During the annual league meetings on Tuesday, Rams coach Sean McVay confirmed that his team is interested in bringing back Odell Beckham Jr., according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. He noted that there are a lot of other teams interested in the free agent.
Beckham, 30, last played for the Rams in February 2022 during the Super Bowl where his team won, but he tore his ACL in the game. The three-time Pro Bowler entered free agency and has remained unsigned ever since with rumors and reports swirling regarding his next destination.
The wideout held a workout on March 10 for NFL teams to show how far he’s come during the rehab process and also snagged a couple one-handed catches for old time’s sake. McVay is aware that getting Beckham back won’t be easy, though, since there are plenty of teams looking to bolster their receiving corps.
On Monday, Giants owner John Mara openly told reporters that he’s open to bringing Beckham back to New York so long as coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen make it work. The Giants drafted Beckham in the first round of the 2014 draft where he first made a name for himself as one of the most electrifying names in the sport.
All in all, the Beckham sweepstakes is alive and well this offseason.
