A Scots teacher broke down in tears after a watchdog found her guilty of kissing a pupil and dancing flirtatiously with him at a nightclub.

Ashley McConnell emotionally fought to keep her job on Thursday during a hearing in front of the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).

She was found to have kissed a 17-year-old pupil at a local nightclub, Skinandi's, in March 2018 while she worked as a physics teacher at Thurso High School in Caithness.
