Scots predator sentenced after sexually abusing 14 women and children

A PREDATOR who sexually abused women and children across five decades has been sentenced to 12 years behind bars.

Peter Buller, 58, was handed the jail sentence at the High Court at Edinburgh on Thursday.

He was also made subject to an Order of Lifetime Restriction and placed on the sex offenders register.

Buller had been convicted of sexually abusing 14 people, several of whom were children at the time, in the Perth and Kinross areas between 1984 and 2020.

Detective Constable Karen Nairn said: “Peter Buller is facing the consequences of his actions as he begins his prison term.

“The victims have been incredibly strong in coming forward and disclosing the terrible abuse they suffered. I hope knowing Buller is now behind bars offers them some solace as they move forward with their lives.

“We remain committed to supporting victims of sexual crime and protecting children from harm and abuse.

"We will use all available resources to find and arrest the abusers, no matter how much time has passed. I would urge anyone who is a victim of abuse to speak to police in the knowledge they will be fully supported.”

Buller was convicted at the High Court in Stirling on December 15, 2022, following a police report made in July 2020.
