An Ayrshire husband and wife team snapped up the coveted 'wedding videographer of the year' title at this year's Scottish Wedding Awards.
Craig and Hayley McKie, of CGM Films, were handed the top title on Wednesday, February 23, with their second nomination at the annual awards.
The couple from Irvine were thrilled to finally win after Covid put a stopper on their booked weddings in 2020.
Mum-of-two Hayley said: "It was an amazing night.
"We weren't expecting to win at all, my husband hadn't even prepared a speech.
"It was so nice to win after the nightmare that was Covid.
"During Covid we tried to accommodate couple's date changes and in other cases gave people their deposits back because it wasn't their fault.
"It was difficult taking a hit on our deposits and not having money coming in at that time, but Craig used the time wisely and invested in a drone so we could capture those sweeping, cinematic shots of wedding venues.
"We decided to upskill and learn more during the lockdowns so we could hit the ground running."
Hayley and Craig were nominated by their past brides and grooms and then their romantic footage was critiqued by a panel of judges before securing the win.
Primary one teacher Hayley assists her husband at weddings and heads up the marketing side of the business, while Craig puts his attention on the creative filming and spends three days editing the raw footage to create the heart-tugging finished product.
Hayley added: "We've been in business for 10 years but Craig began specialising in wedding videography around six years ago.
"We love being part of this industry and feel so privileged to be part of such a special day for the couples that book with us. We also feel so honoured to get such recognition as we work very hard to make sure that we produced the best memories in our bespoke videos."
