Scot amongst protestors spared jail over ‘reckless’ Grand Prix track invasion

A Scot man was amongst the six climate change protestors spared jail today following a ‘reckless’ track invasion at last year's British Grand Prix.

The group from Just Stop Oil climate change protesters avoided prison after invading a track at Silverstone risking “serious harm” to Formula One drivers and marshals.

Alasdair Gibson, from Aberdeen, Louis McKechnie, Emily Brocklebank, Bethany Mogie, David Baldwin, and Joshua Smith were dragged off the circuit at Silverstone as two Formula One cars passed close by.
