Sarah Healy broke Sonia O'Sullivan's Irish U23 1500m record on Tuesday evening in the Czech Republic.
The Dubliner finished sixth with a time of 4:02.86, three seconds ahead of the record set by O'Sullvan in 1991.
It qualifies the 21-year-old for the World Championships in Oregon in July, as well as the European Championships in August, and moves her to fourth on the all-time Irish list behind O’Sullivan, Ciara Mageean and Geraldine Hendricken.
O'Sullivan's record is the third U23 one to be broken in recent days, with Darragh McElhinney breaking John Treacy’s Irish 5000m record in Belgium on Saturday with a time of 13:17.17 - nine seconds lower than Treacy's 1978 time.
Robert McDonnell clocked 20.51 for 200m to break Steven Colvert's 2012 time of 20.51 at the same meeting in Oordegem over the weekend.
