Sara Davies took Strictly Come Dancing stars Aljaz Škorjanec and Janette Manrara on a trip to Alnwick Castle after they wowed a Newcastle crowd on their tour.
There was upset last month when Aljaz, who has been part of the furniture on Strictly for close to a decade, announced his plans to quit, following in the footsteps of pro dancer wife Janette, who left the ballroom to host spin-off It Takes Two, before going on to be MC for the BBC programme's live tour earlier this year. But, while they were both missing from the confirmed list of pros for the next series of strictly, Aljaz and Janette have been kept busy with their own theatre show - Remembering The Oscars.
The trip down memory lane sees the married pair perform to tracks from a number of well known films including A Star is Born, Skyfall and Chicago. It has been delighting packed audiences around the country and on Tuesday wowed the crowd at Newcastle's Theatre Royal.

And, after seeing her them in action, County Durham born Dragon's Den star Sara, husband Simon and their two children joined Aljaz and Janette for a trip to Northumberland, where they both seemed to have a lot of fun at Alnwick Castle, famous for being used in the Harry Potter films. Sara took to Instagram to share a number of photos from the visit, including Aljaz walking through Alnwick wearing a wizard's hat, writing next to them: "Had THE BEST DAY hanging out with these two!
"They had a day off performing in the middle of their tour and so we wanted to show them the best the north east had to offer so we took them to Alnwick Castle for the day."
The Crafters' Companion founder added: "The kids absolutely idolise them both (and they played with them ALL day) and it just melted my heart. Only problem is this was supposed to be ‘resting’ today, but I think they’ll be more exhausted than when they’ve done a double show day!"
