Millions of pounds raised from the “tourist tax” being introduced in London could be used to fund public transport, says a Cabinet minister.

Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander said it would be “reasonable” if London Mayor Lord Sadiq Khan decided to use the new levy for such purposes.
