The Ryzen 7 9850X3D has officially dethroned the Ryzen 7 9800X3D as the best CPU for gaming. The all-new gaming powerhouse has impacted the price of the already-impressive Ryzen 7 9800X3D, making AMD's previous gaming flagship more accessible than ever. Despite market fluctuations and intense demand, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is currently available for $443.99, a $36 discount from its original MSRP.

This price sits merely $15 above its historic all-time low, so it's an excellent opportunity to pick up a great gaming chip. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D burst onto the gaming scene at $479.99 in November 2024, just over a year ago. The Zen 5 chip with AMD's cutting-edge 3D V-Cache technology has been the go-to gaming workhorse for enthusiasts thanks to the reasonable price point and unrivaled gaming performance.
