Naturally, the interaction left Big Brother fans hopeful that the iconic show would be making an epic return to screens sooner rather than later.

Taking to Twitter, they shared their excited reactions.

"I would do absolutely anything to see Big Brother back on TV - especially the celebrity version," one gushed.

"OMG! Does this mean we're finally getting Big Brother back? OMG," someone else excitedly asked.

"This exchange is just making me so bloody excited," another echoed.

And a fourth added: "Come on tell us the goss you have been in talks with ITV and have said yes about a certain show."

It comes after former Celebrity Big Brother winner Rylan called for the axed reality TV show to make a comeback .

"One million per cent," the popular broadcaster confirmed when asked whether he would like to present a new series of the show that was last on-air in 2018.

" Big Brother was like a child to me - doing Big Brother's Bit on the Side every night became like a lifestyle rather than a job.

"Big Brother changed my life completely - a proper 360 - and I miss it dearly and I just think if it was to come back now, it could come back the same but so different now."

Alongside being a part of the Big Brother presenting team, Rylan is also a famous former housemate - winning the star-studded 2013 edition of the ultimate reality TV series.
