Ryan Tubridy may not be able to partake in an upcoming 5km run with Operation Transformation due to a sprained foot.
The RTE presenter was set to complete a 5km race this Saturday in the Phoenix Park, alongside Operation Transformation contestants. Ryan was receiving coaching from Olympic champion Kellie Harrington ahead of the big day, having admitted to not going on runs since childhood.
However, Ryan's hopes were dashed after sustaining an unpleasant foot injury. The broadcaster took to Instagram yesterday to share the news with his followers.

Ryan said in a video message: "The prep for the 5k on Saturday in Phoneix Park with Operation Transformation continues but I've done some damage to my foot. It's sore. I'm not sure I am going to make this thing but I've got an appointment to look at it tomorrow. Hopefully it will be okay."
Ryan shared a snap earlier today of a doctor's chair, captioned with the words 'Time for a verdict.' He has not since revealed whether he has been ruled out from participating in the race.
The event itself is going ahead in association with Athletics Ireland, Dublin City Council and Sport Ireland. Registration for the race is currently sold out online.
