Ruth Langsford's Loose Women 'insult' leaves Coleen Nolan fuming before start of ITV show

Ruth Langsford left her Loose Women co-star Coleen Nolan fuming, with an insult before Tuesday's show had even stared. And the dig also got quit a reaction from This Morning hosts Josie Gibson and Holly Willoughby.

For the second day in a row, ex This Morning presenter Ruth headed up the ITV lunchtime discussion, being joined on the panel by Coleen and fellow Loose Women colleagues Jane Moore and Gloria Hunniford. It's standard practice for This Morning to cross live to its ITV neighbour towards the end of every show and, Josie and Holly did just that around 12 noon, being welcomed by Ruth.

Before Ruth had an opportunity to tease what was coming up, Coleen explained that a Blackpool ice cream shop This Morning had just featured, was somewhere she was very familiar with, having visiting plenty of times as a child, explaining: "It's tiny! It's exactly the same as it was in the Sixties."

And, seizing the opportunity to have a playful dig at The Nolans' star's expense, Ruth responded: "It was 102 years ago yeah," wiping the smile of Coleen's face, as she looked distinctly unimpressed.

Over in the This Morning studio, Holly winced as Josie reacted: "Ooooh," before both presenters started laughing and Ruth, looking very pleased with herself, went onto preview what was in store on Loose Women.

Last week, after years of rumours, Ruth's husband and former This Morning co-host, Eamonn Holmes, confirmed that she was the Loose Women star who'd filed a complaint against Phillip Schofield, having been left furious by that way he'd abruptly cut her off in front of millions of viewers, during a live link.
