RTE's Caitriona Perry has announced the birth of her second child, a baby boy.
The Six One host shared the happy news with her Instagram followers on Tuesday. She thanked the doctors and midwives who helped her deliver her baby and said she would be taking maternity leave.
She said: "Delighted to announce the arrival of a beautiful baby boy. Thanks to the wonderful doctors and midwives for ensuring his safe arrival. On #matleave now but will be back soon. Thanks for all the well wishes and queries."

Friends and fans of the Rathmines native took to the comments to send her their best wishes. Miriam O'Callaghan wrote: "Wonderful news - congratulations Caitriona to you all."
RTE 2fm’s Doireann Garrihy said: “Huge congratulations Caitriona”. Fair City star Jenny Dixon wrote: "Super congratulations".
Caitriona announced her pregnancy back in April, saying that "keen-eyed" viewers had spotted her with a baby bump on TV. She said: "Just want to say a quick thank you to the many keen-eyed @rtenews viewers who have been in touch with good wishes. Well spotted! I am indeed expecting some more news of my own later this year."
Caitriona gave birth to a baby girl in 2019.
