'RRR' box office collection Day 4: Jr NTR, Ram Charan starrer earns estimated Rs 17 crore on first Monday

SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead, has set itself up as a sure-shot box office hit after raking in the big bucks on its first Monday.

The film's Hindi dubbed version earned an estimated Rs 17 crore nett on Monday, states a report on boxofficeindia.com. The film did witness a minor 10-15% drop in collections, compared to its Friday collections.

Despite collections dropping by around 30% for morning shows, it seems that it picked up pace later in the day. The footfalls at multiplexes were reported to be more than Friday. The higher ticket prices are also reportedly playing a major deciding factor in the film's box office report.

It was previously reported that Monday's number easily sets the film up to record the highest post-pandemic collection and may well be in the top fifteen of all-time highest collections on Monday.

While the film has reportedly maintained a steady graph at the box office across Gujarat, Rajasthan, CI and UP, the biggest drop in collections are expected from the NCR and Punjab markets. However, despite the 25% drop in these sectors, the collection is still very good.

The collections of the Hindi dubbed version of the film will be around Rs 92 crore nett. The film falls a few crore rupees short of hitting the 100-crore mark in just 4 days.

Meanwhile, the film has reportedly reached entered the 500 crore club at the worldwide box office. The film that recorded the biggest-ever opening with Rs 223 crore worldwide, managed to cash in Rs 500 crore gross at the end of its first weekend at the box office.

Set in pre-independence India, 'RRR' is a fictional take on the younger days of celebrated freedom fighters, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharama Raju, portrayed by Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. The movie also features Samuthirakani, Olivia Morris, Alison Doody, and Ray Stevenson.
