Ian Wright has admitted that he used to touch the famous 'This is Anfield' sign before heading out to play a game against Liverpool.
The Arsenal legend explained its significance and that because there's so much history behind the sign, he felt he needed to touch it pre-match.
However, former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane, thinks differently.
The pair were together in the ITV studios for Liverpool's home FA Cup clash against Norwich City on Wednesday night as the Merseyside outfit went onto win 2-1 to book their place in the quarter-final of the competition.
Speaking before the game, Wright said: "Of course I touched it," when asked if he touched the sign, as cited by our colleagues at the Echo.
"When I went out with the guys I would not touch it, because you would never know whether it would be deemed as a bit disrespectful, but you have to touch it don’t you, it’s such a fantastic stadium."
Keane, who as an ex-United player and therefore take a different approach, went on to mock Wright for admitting to the action.
"Of course not [I never used to touch it]. It is traditional for English players but not for me," he replied.
"It’s childish Wrighty, why did you touch it? What did you get out of it? Did it benefit you in any way?"
